J&J's lung cancer therapy combo succeeds in late-stage study
J&J's therapy combination of antibody treatment Rybrevant and experimental drug lazertinib showed a clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival rate in patients. The drugmaker expects the combination to become a first-line treatment for non small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with a type of mutation in EGFR protein that causes rapid tumor cell growth. A rival treatment combining AstraZeneca's Tagrisso and chemotherapy also recently succeeded in a late-stage study.
