Explosions once again rocked Ukraine’s Russian-occupied city of Sevastopol in Crimea on Sept. 23, with residents reporting the sound of a missile flying overhead and a column of smoke seen rising over the city, the Telegram channel Crimean Wind has reported.
The strikes come as Ukraine continues its latest counteroffensive effort to reclaim occupied territory.
A series of explosions reverberated across Crimea on Sept. 20, according to Telegram channels Krym.Realii and Krymsky Veter. The affected locations included the military airfields of Belbek and Kacha, as well as a military base located near Sevastopol.
Ukrainian forces carry out scheduled work on Russia's military objects in the temporarily occupied territories, including in Ukraine's Crimea, Spokesperson for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine Andriy Yusov has said while commending on the recent explosions on the peninsula.
The missile attack caused smoke over the base of the occupiers.
