Maharashtra and Karnataka have the highest number of COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1 cases in India, according to INSACOG. Other states with significant cases of the variant include Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, West Bengal, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Nagaland. The Centre has advised states to maintain vigilance and comply with surveillance guidelines.
