The Nigeria Police Force has arrested two more suspects in connection with the protracted bloodletting and destruction of houses and other property worth millions of naira in Oruku community in the Nkanu East Local Government area of Enugu State. Security sources told SaharaReporters that the two people arrested were involved in the burning of scores of houses in the troubled community since December 26, 2020, after the gruesome murder of the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mbah.

An Enugu State Magistrate Court sitting in Enugu North has remanded 46-year-old Inspector Daniel Dennis and one Mr Moses Nnamani for allegedly killing the late Igwe Emmanuel Mbah of Oruku community. SaharaReporters reported on September 14 that the Nigeria Police Force had finally released the police Inspector who allegedly shot and killed the traditional ruler of Oruku community in the Nkanu East Local Government Area of the state and one of his collaborators for trial 32 months after the killing.

  The Nigeria Police Force has arrested one Chief Moses Nnamani who allegedly paid N80,000 to an Inspector with the Special Weapons and Tactical Squad (SWAT) to kill the traditional ruler of the Oruku community in the Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Emmanuel Mba.   SaharaReporters gathered on Friday that Nnamani, who had been in hiding since December 26, 2020, after the gruesome murder of the monarch was apprehended two weeks ago in Abuja.
