The Lagos State High Court has granted an order of injunction prohibiting and restraining the Nigeria Police Force from further harassing Adeyinka Igbinoba with arrest, intimidation and threatening her life. This is regarding the case linked with the matter of suit numbered MISC/MCY/371/22 which is pending before the Magistrate Court of the State in the Yaba Magisterial District.
A Nigerian policeman identified as Inspector Nelson Abuante has killed himself after he accidentally took the life of his colleague, Inspector Monday Gbaramana while the duo were trying to arrest a suspected criminal in Rivers State. It was learnt that the incident happened on Sunday afternoon at Nyogor-Lueku, Khana Local Government Area of the state when the two officers attached to Taabaa Division were on the course to apprehend a suspected criminal, Akpobari.
The two officers attached to Taabaa Division were said to have gone to Nyogor-Lueku to arrest one Mr. Akere Akpobari over some allegations made against him by his mother.
“We will be applying for a bench warrant for his arrest.”
