Olney man sentenced to eight years for indecency with child
An Olney man was sentenced to eight years in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice this week following a plea deal with the 90th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Cody Allen Spivey, 38, of Olney, pleaded guilty to indecency with a child by sexual contact. Spivey was indicted for the charge Jan. 25, 2021 by the Young County Grand Jury. The indictment charged Spivey with engaging in contact with the victim, who was younger than 17 years of age. It stated he made sexual contact with the victim on or about March 1, 2019.
