ACI staff and inmates began receiving COVID vaccinations over the weekend
CRANSTON — Inmates and staff in the state prison system began receiving COVID vaccinations over the weekend, according to J.R. Ventura, Chief of Information and Public Relations Officer with the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. The vaccines come as people who work in and are incarcerated at the Adult Correctional Institutions continue to be especially hard hit by the pandemic and calls for early release of some inmates continue.
