Nigerian sprinter Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha, has been provisionally suspended for using banned substances, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) said. The 21-year-old athlete was part of the team that won gold in the 4x100m relay at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Nwokocha helped Nigeria beat England and Jamaica in the Commonwealth Games in August by running the anchor leg. Others in the team were Rosemary Chukwuma, Tobi Amusan and Favour Ofili. The quartet set a new African record of 42.10s.
