TransLink customers will soon be able to use Interac Debit to hop on transit. TransLink, Interac Corp., and Cubic Transportation Systems are working together to integrate Interac Debit onto the system to give customers more contactless payment options.
Contactless debit cards are being added as an option for fare payment on TransLink's Compass system, providing added convenience.
Interac Debit is now accepted as a contactless payment option on UP Express via a pilot led by Metrolinx on the PRESTO fare payment system.
UP Express customers can now tap-on and pay for their ride using debit cards instead of having to pre-purchase a ticket or load their PRESTO card.
