Nagaland Forest department, DBCK observe World Ozone Day

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): Kohima forest division under the department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in collaboration with the Government Middle School at Forest Colony in Kohima, observed the World Ozone Day on September 16 on the theme ‘Montreal Protocol @ 35: Global cooperation protecting life on earth.’ An update informed that a total of 250 participants including students, teachers and staff of the Kohima range took part in the event. Range forest officer of Kohima Range, Pezaneinuo Chielie, in her keynote address, encouraged the participants to actively and consciously be responsible in protecting the environment and contribute towards the common goal. Resource person and forester-I, Avezo Ruho, highlighted the causes, effects and solutions for protecting the ozone layer. The head teacher of GMS, Albert Tungoe, also spoke on the occasion. In a related programme, NSS units of Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) also celebrated ‘International Day for Preservation of Ozo ....
