Eight Vietnamese students won gold medals at the international Olympiads in 2020.

Bui Hong Duc was the only Vietnamese student winning a gold medal at the 2020 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).
He was also the youngest member of the Vietnamese national team winning a gold medal at the 2019 IOI.
Before becoming the ‘golden boy’ in informatics, Duc was famous for achievements in mathematics. When he was a secondary school student at the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, he was selected for teams of excellent students to attend national and international competitions. ....
