Published July 25, 2021, 1:21 PM Residents living in low-lying areas and those near Angat’s riverbanks from Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel, Calumpit, and Hagonoy must be on alert for the possible increase in water level downstream, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council chaired by Governor Daniel R. Fernando advised. The governor’s advice came after learning that the Ipo Dam Management will conduct a spilling operation at 12 noon with an approximate initial discharge of 38 cms. As of 7 a.m. Sunday, July 25, the water level of Ipo Dam was at 100.56 meters and is expected to rise due to heavy rainfall.
