NEW DELHI: IRFC made a tepid market debut on Friday, as the scrip got listed at Rs 24.90 on NSE, a discount of 4.23 per cent to its issue price of Rs 26.
The scrip debuted at Rs 25 on BSE, down 3.85 per cent.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) listed at a 4% discount from its issue price at Rs 24.90 on NSE today.
IRFC share made its debut at Rs 25 on BSE, declining 3.85% apiece.
The initial public offer (IPO) of the company that was open between January 18-20, 2021, at a price band of Rs 25-26 per share, was subscribed nearly 3.5 times. It received bids for 432 crore shares against the issue size of 124.75 crore. Ahead of the IPO, IRFC had raised about Rs 1,400 crore from anchor investors.

Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) made a tepid listing on Friday. The stock was listed at ₹24.90, 4.2% discount over its share price of ₹26. The initial public offering (IPO) was open for subscription from 18-20 January with a price band of ₹25- ₹26. The issue was subscribed 3.49 times.
This is the first stock listing of 2021 wherein the government plans to sell around 13.64% in the company to raise around ₹4,633.38 crore at the upper end of the price band. The net proceeds from the fresh issue are proposed to be utilised for augmenting the equity capital base of the company to meet their future capital requirements arising out of growth in their business and for general corporate purposes.

By 5:00 pm on Tuesday, the issue received bids for 152.64 crore shares, which was 122.35 per cent of the issue size of 124.75 crore shares. The issue was subscribed 65 per cent on the first day.
