It all started back in 2017, when a group of bakers from Atlanta came together to create something delicious. The “Cookie Grab," as they named it, was created to raise awareness and support for Planned Parenthood Southeast. Over the past four years, the Cookie Grab has sold out at record speed, raising more than $110,000 for the local nonprofit. In Savannah, chefs have been baking cookies with a purpose since 2019. The Savannah Underground is the newest immersive attraction in Savannah and is a new way to experience Savannah’s dark and haunted history as three real life tales are played out around you in a 360 degree setting. “People in the Savannah area are not used to an immersive type of theater or experiences," said Kewaan Drayton, the event's creator. "We are bringing a theatrical production where the audience can be a part of the show along with the cast. We want the audience to be involved with what it is taking place. The way I like to describe it is as an interactive haunted house."
