[laughter] go back to the report on i t believe it was thursday night when you guys wrote that. >> well, john and i both put together the story, we were able to expose the documents releasee by the foreign intelligence surveillance court with the fbi. regarding the fbi, and it was called the search for warrantless data. this is basically not information gathered by the fbi with a warrant, but information that has been gathered through the nsa, by the fbi warrantless. james comey said during a hearing that all of the data that was collected by the fbi was actually carefully collected, there was a lot of oversight. there were precautions taken. what we found out from the documents, from the foreign
there was this outrage when he was in moscow and should the president be meeting with lavrov albeit under this awful timing? >> he's here and there are things to be discussed like this plan that the russians have agreed with turkey and iran for de-escalation zones which would stop some of the fighting and violence in syria, so it is an opportunity to discuss that face to face, but let's be honest, until these investigations are over, every single interaction between this administration and russia is going to be problematic. timing from yesterday to today? yeah, awkward and i don't see how you get around that. >> so steve hall, overnight you wrote, interesting that potus first goes after cia. now fbi. is nsa next? intel trifecta? what do you mean? >> it just struck me when i tweeted that last night that, you know, this is an interesting pattern that appears to be
>> it is. >> my answer would require me to reveal classified information. i think director clapper said he was unaware of the counterintelligence investigation. >> bret: you have this report said to be signed off by the fbi, cia, nsa. not every -- but the intelligence giving this report and giving the conclusion they didn't have evidence of collusion. sally yates is saying i can't talk about it because there was an ongoing investigation he didn't know about. >> clapper stood by the testimony saying that the best of his knowledge, again today, it wasn't happening. it appears there was an investigation happening, for whatever reason, people weren't giving him that information. >> bret: because it was in its infancy? didn't make it into the report? seems like a big disconnect. we are well into the administration and we still
names. there's a paper trail somewhere at the nsa of who ordered it. >> there are several story lines, in these hours and hours of hearings advanced not one of them. we learned nothing today that we didn't know yesterday. classic case of a video event that lives only to dramatize things but not to add to our fund of knowledge. we live in an age where that can sometimes work. the video of the united airlines guide. if it hadn't been on video, we never would have talked about it. because it was dramatized, it became a huge event. there is nothing that was said today that we didn't already know. the only result of these hours of hearings is that sally yates is now a democratic star and she needs to pick a state and run for the senate. she is a rising candidate for the future. her answer on the question why

intelligence agencies that finalize the report into russia meddling in the election in january, and recently in march, he told one of the sunday shows that they saw no evidence of collusion between the trump team and the russians. >> we did not occlude any evidence in our report, and i say hour, that is nsa, fbi, cia with my office, the director of national intelligence that had anything, any reflection of collusion between members of the trump campaign and the russians. there was no evidence of that included in our report. >> it was in the last few minutes that we had a series of reports again anonymously sourced that saying president obama warned president-elect trump not to hire flynn as the national security advisor. we get an on the record comment in a couple of hours from sally yates on them to. it is bound to come up at the white house. but over the last 72 hours, a

following question, whether there were improper contacts between the trump campaign and russian officials? >> we did not include any evidence in our report, i say our report, that is nsa, fbi, and cia, with my office, the director of national intelligence, that had anything, any reflection of collusion between members of the trump campaign and the russians. there was no evidence of that included in our report. >> bill: that report was issued on january 6. also, a senator investigating the russian deal said the same thing. >> i know you have been briefed by fbi director comey and other members of the intelligence community. you have seen no evidence so far of collusion? o >> thus far, i have not. now, we are still in the relatively early stages and it will be thorough and wide-ranging, follow the facts wherever they take us. >> bill: senator cotton will be here tomorrow night. so any fair-minded person has to acknowledge that there is no evidence of collusion between
somebody overstepped the line and was peering into -- >> may be of more of those people were on the white house lawn, so many people wanted to have breached it. you also have the former president expanding the powers of surveillance. information sharing among agencies, lame. while attorney general jeff sessions expected to provide amended testimony in writing with his contacts with the ambassador. this may not be enough for the nine democrats on the senate and judiciary committee for demanding that jeff sessions appear again before the committee to clarify his answers. the republican chairman chuck grassley saying that that is not going to happen. all of this as many on the left continue to push for an end to ten win independent probe on russia. former director of national intelligence as james clapper says that he is not aware of any evidence of a connection. watch. >> we did not include any evidence in our reports, and i say hour, that is nsa, fbi, and
