The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had requested a 9-day custody extension for the suspects, citing the need for further interrogation to ascertain their respective roles.
The National Investigation Agency on Thursday arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with the Maharashtra ISIS module case, for promoting violent activities of the proscribed terrorist outfit, NIA said in a statement.
ISIS module case: The case was registered suo-moto by NIA on June 25 under sections 153A, and 153B of IPC and sections 18, 18B, 38, 39 and 40 of UA (P) Act.
The NIA had registered a case against seven known and other unnamed persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the UA (P) Act on March 5, 2021.
