Black Isle Says A Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II Re-Release Is "On The Table" Last week, the original Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance made a return on all console platforms (except the Switch) after 20 years. The Nintendo version of the game got delayed due to an "unforeseen issue" on the Switch digital store. Although we're still waiting for the first game, in an exchange on social media - Black Isle Studios was asked if the sequel, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, would get a re-release. Just a week ago, Black Isle Studios surprised fans of the classic hack ‘n slash co-op RPG Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance with a re-release of the original game on modern consoles. It included upgraded textures, higher resolution support, and launched on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, PC players were not included in the nostalgic love. Let’s travel back in time, to the distant era of… today at 10 a.m. ET., when we reported that Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance launches today on PC and all consoles, including Nintendo Switch. Well, Black Isle Studios has moonwalked back on all that, announcing abruptly that an “unforeseen issue” with the Nintendo Switch eShop has caused it to delay the release of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance on Switch. We will likely be waiting “a few days” for the matter to be resolved and to get our hands on the co-op hack-and-slash game. Black Isle Studios is apologetic about the issue.
