Dinner party. fun, everything is there because the end of the world is coming. he was the thing. the writer and director said they were inspired by when the wind blows but also because her kids came back from seeing warhorse and said what would we do that circumstance was back so comment starts out like a christmas movie but the christmas movie goes to hell. and it sounds like an interesting idea but it didn t work it doesn t work for two reasons. the first one is for the first part of it, when it it s a comedy with the irritating posh people, i did not find him funny and i did not believe in them. the second part of it comes apocalypse movie when you re dealing with a lot of very dark material, it did not feel earned. it felt like because we don t believe in these characters you re still doing the knock about comedy stuff, none of this is earned. that said, i know some people thought this was great. it is an acerbic christmas film, i ....
