The senate. everything is about the next election. and maybe, maybe, maybe then, we will have a force we can work with and change things the way we like. that s sort of like waiting for political godot here. it doesn t pap out. every time you delay like that, the debt just keeps piling up. yeah, but this is not a theoretical discussion that we are having, neil. we just lived through this a few months ago with the shutdown and the brinksmanship. and republicans got just slammed in public polling after all of that the public blames them. did they rein in spending? did they slow the growth of spending? they didn t. no. i mean, no a hell of a lot more than they did just taking a pass on this thing. but neil, my point is, it does not make any sense, in into no universe does it make sense for the republican party in this city right now to say, hey, let s have another brinksmanship fight do they didn t even bother to raise the brinksmanship fight, ....
