Go long. When you step on a 9’0” it is a slightly different crew of surfers you ride with. A little more mature in attitude possibly, laid back, slightly more mindful and a touch more likely to stop and smell the roses. All personalities are valid. Sanguine, melancholic, phlegmatic and choleric equally apply to those who cross-step, but perhaps a little extra emphasis applies to the longboarders when it comes to style, grace and enjoyment.
