This past weekend saw local athletes compete in the Class 1-3 MSHSAA Track and Field State Championships at Jefferson City High School. Nine local schools were represented in the meet.
For the fourth season in a row, the La Plata softball team has earned a district title. The Bulldogs beat Canton 6-4 on Oct. 17 to claim the Class 1 District 5 title after winning the District 10 title each of the last three seasons. They improved to 23-5 on the season with the win.
