Chicago chess stars take their skills to Ghana

Show host Dan Lucas, the Senior Director of Strategic Communication at US Chess, talks today with Matthew Kearney, the Executive Director (ED) of the Chicago Chess Foundation (CCF), and 17-year-old Jack Heller, a high school junior, expert-rated player, and one of Illinois' top high school chess players. Matthew became CCF’s 3rd Executive Director in April 2022.

The trip, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Ghana, was designed to promote cross-cultural understanding among youths in both countries.
