The third overall pick in the draft returned last week after missing two games with the injury and still had two sacks despite playing limited snaps. His seven sacks this season are a franchise record for a rookie. COLTS PLAYER TO WATCH: QB Gardner Minshew.
The Indianapolis Colts weren't supposed to be here, playing a prime-time game in Week 18 with a chance to make the playoffs. Not with a rookie quarterback who then suffered a season-ending injury that forced Indy (9-7) to rely on a veteran backup for its final 12 games. “One thing I’ve learned is how scrappy, how tough this team is,” 2021 NFL rushing champ Jonathan Taylor said after Sunday's 23-20 win over Las Vegas.
Jonathan Taylor and Gardner Minshew spent all week talking about the need to take advantage of this week's big opportunity. Taylor ran for a season-high 96 yards and one score, Minshew fooled the Las Vegas defense with a 58-yard TD pass on third-and-1, and the Indianapolis Colts used two late defensive penalties to put away the Raiders 23-20 — and on the precipice of their first playoff berth since 2020.

Several players were limited — DE Maxx Crosby (knee), DE Malcolm Koonce (ribs), LT Kolton Miller (shoulder), C Andre James (ankle) and T Jermaine Eluemunor (knee). Crosby has been a regular on the injury report, but he hasn't missed a game.
As the Colts prepare for their Week 17 matchup against the Raiders, Michael Pittman will play while Zack Moss will not.
