It's a wild time for the Big Ten, and Ohio State. Last year's champions just got housed by That Team Up North, Johns Hopkins is likely a top 5 team, Penn State is looking better than last year by a wide margin, and Rutgers is in complete free fall. Just as we all predicted. Heading down to Panzer Stadium tomorrow, Ohio State is meeting a Penn State squad that is in a bit of a skid. A loss to Marquette two weeks ago was followed by a defeat to Maryland last week, bringing Penn State to 5-3. This is a pivotal game for them, and for the Buckeyes. Lose here, and it's bye-bye postsea...

Mac Costin and Kevin Winkoff both secured hat tricks in coach Jeff Tambroni's 100th career win with Penn State.

Seven Nittany Lions scored goals throughout the game to power Penn State to a much-needed win.

A hat trick from Mac Costin wasn't enough to make a difference in Penn State's 18-9 loss to the No. 11 Buckeyes.

This is it. Without much hyperbole, this game will absolutely determine the course of the season. If Ohio State loses to Penn State, Johns Hopkins, or TTUN, this season is over except for the crying. The Maryland game is a foregone conclusion, and it won't matter in the end. Unless a miracle were to happen. Even a Big Ten tournament run doesn't help Ohio State unless it beats Rutgers or Maryland. All that said, tomorrow Penn State comes to Columbus. One game at a time. Offense
