91, died peacefully in her sleep at Good Life Senior Living in Hugo, MN, on February 27, 2022. A strong mother of five, she was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Edna Mitchell; brother, William Mitchell; and two former husbands, Roger Awsumb and John “Jack” Downs. Born in Crosby, ND, she went on to be a kindergarten teacher, business partner, school board member, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many.
