Palo Alto County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges January 29, 2021 10:13 am Saga Communications Ruthven, IA (KICD)– A Sac County man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop near Ruthven on Thursday. The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office initiated the stop on Highway 18 just south of town around 6:30 where an investigation led to 26-year-old Jacob Lawler of Wall Lake being arrested for allegedly having unlawful possession of prescription drugs and a controlled substance as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Lawler was also found to be wanted in Des Moines for 1st degree criminal mischief. He was taken to the Palo Alto County Jail to wait his initial court appearance and extradition to Polk County. ....
