String of California 7-Eleven shootings leave 2 dead, 3 hurt
Southern California police say two people were killed and three wounded in robberies at six 7-Eleven stores. The crimes in San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange counties occurred before dawn Monday and authorities say at least three involved the same lone gunman. Police believe Monday's date of July 11, or 7/11, had something to do with the incidents. July 11 is the national 7-Eleven brand's anniversary and this is its 95th year. The robberies happened in the cities of Ontario, Upland, Riverside, Santa Ana, Brea and La Habra. Shots were fired at four of the locations.
