Judith "Judy" M. Weidman

MOUNT JOY - Judith "Judy" Marie Weidman, 81 years old, entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, July 9, 2021.
Judy was born on November 11, 1939 in Columbia as the only child of Clayton Eugene and Elizabeth D. (Seiple) Manuel. Her family moved to Manheim where she was raised and graduated from Manheim Central High School, Class of '57. She also graduated from Lancaster General Hospital nurses training and was a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines.
Manheim is where she made many friends with whom she traveled, spent time at the beach and endured some of life's hardest trials. Many have remained very close and loved her deeply until the end. Manheim is also where she met her late husband, Abram (Abe) H. Weidman, Jr. They were married for 23 years. After Abe's passing in 1983, Judy created The Weidman House, a colonial dining experience. Judy opened her home for over 30 years, hosting many dinner parties and serving her famous Weidman House Chocolate Cake. Never slowing down and always claiming she "would never do a dinner again", her last dinner party was this past May.

Northern Oklahoma Rattled by Small Earthquakes

Northern Oklahoma Rattled by Small Earthquakes
February 7, 2021
A series of small earthquakes believed by seismologists to be caused by the underground injection of wastewater from oil and gas production continued to rattle northern Oklahoma on Feb. 6.
Four quakes occurred Saturday morning, the strongest being magnitude 3.3 about 4 a.m., southeast of Enid in an area about 85 miles-100 miles (137-161 kilometers) north of Oklahoma City.
Nearly two dozen quakes have been recorded in the area since Friday, Feb., 5 by the Oklahoma Geological Survey with the most powerful being magnitude 4.2.
No injuries or damage have been reported and geologists say damage is not likely in earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.

Earthquakes, including one 4.2 magnitude, in north Oklahoma
February 5, 2021 GMT
ENID, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Geological Survey recorded several earthquakes Friday in the northern part of the state, including ones of magnitude 4.2, 3.7 and 3.5.
The quakes were recorded southeast of Enid, about 95 miles (150 kilometers) north of Oklahoma City.
No injuries or damage were reported, according to Garfield County Emergency Management Director Mike Honigsberg. Geologists say damage is unlikely from temblors below magnitude 4.0.
Thousands of earthquakes have been recorded in Oklahoma in recent years, many linked to the underground injection of wastewater from oil and gas production, which is being considered as a cause of the tremors, said state seismologist Jake Walter.
