Construction of 560 model mosques a rare example: Faridul Haque 471 ISLAMPUR, Jamalpur, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Religious Affairs M Faridul Haque Khan today said construction of 560 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers at a cost of Taka 9,000 crore throughout the country is a rare example. “The government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has set a rare example in the world history by building 560 model mosques and Islamic centers in every district and upazilas throughout the country,” he told a mass reception accorded to him at Pachabahola Jaitunnesa high school here this afternoon. “It is beyond my knowledge that whether such huge number of mosques had been constructed in any other Muslim countries in the world expending such amount of public money,” he told the function arranged by Islampur Sadar union Awami League.
