The city said service will be limited at the facilities and those who go to the pools will only be allowed to swim in lanes, aquatic fitness classes, public swim and aquatic sports groups.
Winnipeggers are being encouraged to book time blocks online before arriving as there isn t a guarantee a spot will be available.
Reservations can be made up until 10 p.m. the day before and new spots will be made available every Thursday.
Capacity limits for indoor pools and fitness centres are currently set at 25 per cent and if anyone is showing COVID-19 symptoms they will not be allowed in. ....

Winnipeg to offer some Leisure Guide activities this spring

WINNIPEG
The City of Winnipeg will be offering some Leisure Guide programs this spring, including dance, gymnastics, yoga, pottery, spring break camps and outdoor activities.
According to the city, the Leisure Guide will be made available online on March 19, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. on March 23.
Residents can register online, by calling 311 or in-person at 395 Main St. The city is reminding anyone that wants to register in-person that they must wear a mask and maintain physical distancing protocols.
The city expects to release the Leisure Guide swimming and skating brochures later in the spring.

As COVID-19 numbers continue to fall in Manitoba, the city has announced the limited reopening of recreation and leisure facilities and some libraries previously closed due to the pandemic.
In a statement on Wednesday, the city said it’s also recalling around 75 temporary and part-time employees who were laid off due to public health orders.
