After months of public pressure it seems, at least for now, that the controversial, extremely bright lights erected in the Outer Battery neighbourhood of St. John's have been flicked off.

Man charged after trying (but failing) to move Outer Battery lights

An Outer Battery resident is pleading with people to tone down the vigilante rhetoric, after a 32-year-old man was charged with trespassing and property damage after he attempted to move the notorious lights.
