Alabama's largest HIV health care unit expanding
December 24, 2020 GMT BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Alabama’s largest health care unit for treating HIV patients has moved to a larger location. The 1917 Clinic, located for three decades at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and named for its original street address, has moved from its old home in downtown to a new site nearby, the school said in a statement Tuesday. The clinic has more than doubled in size to 27 examination rooms, and it added a second room for medical procedures and new space for counseling services.
