vehicle crash individual identified

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department s Traffic Unit have identified individuals involved in a fatal vehicle crash.
On Dec. 18, a vehicle crash near the intersection of NC Hwy 24 and Plymouth Street that resulted in a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian has been identified as James D. McKethan Jr., 42, , of the 1900 block of Simon Street. Ajaleann J. Chico-Romo, 24, of the 300 block of Jefferson Drive, was operating a 2016 Toyota Corolla at the time of the crash, according to a news release.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Fayetteville, N.C. A man was hit and killed by a car Friday night in Fayetteville.
James D. McKethan Jr., 42, of Fayetteville was hit at the intersection of N.C. Highway 24 and Plymouth Street shortly before 10 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Ajaleann J. Chico-Romo, 24, of Fayetteville, was driving the 2016 Toyota Corolla that hit him, police said.
No charges had been filed as of Saturday morning, but the incident remains under investigation.
Inbound N.C. 24 was closed while police investigated. ....
