The Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights secretariat reported that PNP Chief General Debold Sinas did not give any reason for his absence. The committee noted at least 20 killings year-to-date, including a lawyer, priest, politician, and teacher. “This is a very serious meeting. As you can see, several senators, practically all, have come up with resolutions or bills expressing their concerns on these killings.
