Japan is planning to scrap a negative coronavirus test requirement on visitors from China due to a low rate of positive results during sample testing at airports, a government source said on March 30.
Japan increased its daily entry cap on arrivals from 20,000 to 50,000 on Sept. 7, as the country's tourism sector has been languishing in the face of strict COVID-19 border controls imposed for more than two years.
