(도쿄=연합뉴스) 이세원 특파원 = 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)가 확산한 가운데 일본 정부가 음식점의 술 판매를 막으려고 안간힘을 쓰고 있다.
일본 당국은 그간 지원금과 과태료로 음식점의 협조를 유도했으나 거듭된 영업 제한에 반발 기류가 확산하자 국세청과 은행을 동원해 압박을 가하려다 논란을 일으켰다.
일본 정부가 이번 달 12일부터 다음 달 22일까지 6주 동안 도쿄에 네 번째 긴급사태를 발효하기로 8일 결정하면서 내놓은 대책 가운데 식당 내 음주를 차단하기 위한 수단이 강화됐다.
