It can also save a soldier s life. this is a really cool story. a rochester, minnesota man recently sent his brother in afghanistan a remote-controlled car. that toy ended up saving the lives of six soldiers. kaal s david springer reports. i absolutely couldn t believe it. reporter: when kevin guy who opens everytytng hobby in rochester it s a a y, it really is. reporter: and his friend ernie sent a remote-controlled truck just like this one to chris in iraq, it had a wireless camera mounted on it. they thought it would make his job of searching for bombs easier and much safer. they were right but they didn t realize how right until a few days ago. i got an e-mail that said, sorry but the truck s gone. reporter: chris, now serving in afghanistan, had loaned the truck to another patrol searching for roadside bombs. over the weekend, we learned this truck hit a trip wire and actually exploded. they re estimating it was ....
