OAKLAND, Calif. (Legal Newsline) – Lawyers attempting to hold Netflix liable for a spike in teen suicides are appealing a federal judge’s decision to toss their case.
The push to ban books has also made its way to Polk County Public Schools.
The Polk County School district has removed 16 books from all public schools and is now forming committees to determine whether the works should be banned permanently.
PCPS' review committee will take at least 14 weeks to determine if 16 books contain "pornographic" material.
