LAS CRUCES – New Mexico Republican Party Chairman Steve Pearce said the decision to hold the party's three-day convention and retreat this weekend in Amarillo, Texas was because some of its invited speakers were concerned about New Mexico's COVID-19 restrictions and previous quarantine requirements.
