To the Editor:
For those of you who haven’t yet done so, I highly encourage you to go to the city’s YouTube channel and watch the videos of the three Board of Apportionment and Taxation/Board of Aldermen meetings held to discuss the budget this year.

If the mayor’s budget is approved as proposed, the mill rate would be 22.03, a 1.74 reduction. The proposed spending plan projects a 98.85 percent tax collection rate, according to Finance Director Paul Hiller. ....

SHELTON Allowing the Board of Apportionment and Taxation only two workshops is not enough time for a full analysis of Mayor Mark Lauretti’s proposed budget, one A&T member says.
