Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ordered all U.S. and Michigan flags to be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, April 11 to honor and remember soldier Braden Peltier.

23-year-old Braden Peltier, a United States Army specialist, was shot to death in March near his base in Colorado Springs.

On Thursday, April 6, a procession carrying Braden Peltier will travel from Detroit up to West Branch. The procession will travel through Bay County, past his hometown of Bay City.
