By Ken Delaney Jun 2, 2021 | 9:14 PM COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – 14 industrial customers on Race Street between Butters Avenue and Jay Streets on Coldwater’s southwest side lost power Wednesday evening. Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Jeff Budd estimated the time of restoration between 12 midnight and 1:00 a.m. Thursday. Budd said a truck apparently hooked  CBPU power lines and two poles were broken. Crews from the City of Marshall were called for mutual aid.

May 17, 2021 The RPD has released the redacted bodycam footage where an officer shot a killed a man named Mark Gaskill. Officers claim he brandished a gun, which lead to the shooting. We do not know the names of the officers and they have been put on leave (which is standard practice). This incident happened last week. The scene on Hague Street on the morning of Dec. 22, 2020, after a Rochester police officer was shot and injured. A Rochester police officer is in stable condition and recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital after being shot and injured early Tuesday on the city's west side. The officer, whose identity was not released, was said to be sitting up and speaking with doctors and family hours after the altercation, according to the Rochester Police Department. Capt.
