YOUNGSTOWN — After her arrest Monday by the U.S. Marshals Service, Jayce R. Klink, 21, of South Avenue was taken to jail and later arraigned on aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault charges in a Dec. 2 crash that killed one woman and seriously injured her sister.
Klink was the driver of a vehicle that collided with another being driven by Sharenda Whatley, 32. A passenger in her car, her sister Tiara J. Whatley, 35, a nurse and mother of four, died. Sharenda Whatley was badly injured.
A Youngstown police report states the crash happened at 9:44 p.m. and involved two vehicles near the northbound Glenwood Avenue exit of Interstate 680. The crash blocked the northbound lanes of the interstate.
