L.L. Bean is expanding into wholesale to extend the brand reach in wider concentric circles geographically and to complement its owned omnichannel platform.
"We’re grateful to be in a position to expand our retail presence and build new wholesale relationships in order to serve more customers," said L.L.Bean president and CEO Stephen Smith.
The L.L. Bean omnichannel strategy includes opening stores in the U.S. and Canada, and launching with retail partners such as Dillard's and Moosejaw.
The Freeport, Maine-based company recently celebrated the opening of its $110 million headquarters.
