Sudan truce. U.S. Ambassador calls for respect for them, and the forces of freedom and change welcome

The Forces of Freedom and Change in Sudan welcomed the ceasefire agreement signed yesterday evening. The two sides agreed to deliver and distribute humanitarian aid, restore basic services and withdraw troops. The ceasefire will come into effect 48 hours after signing (Monday at 9:45 p.m. local time) and could be extended with the consent of both parties. On May 11, the two parties to the conflict in Sudan signed their first agreement within the Jeddah talks, which includes 21 relief and humanitarian commitments.
