We’re almost halfway through 2021 and the Covid-19 pandemic is still raging. One of the many devastating economic impacts the virus has had is on the entertainment industry in India. There was a period last year when cases dropped and a ray of hope shone through bleak times for those engaged in film and television productions. Some shoots were restarted. Theatres opened, albeit briefly, and a few films were released as well.

April 08 : Actor Amit Sadh has decided to go offline amid the spike in Coronavirus cases. He penned a long note on social media to stress on the importance of helping people and not turn a blind eye towards them, especially during the pandemic.
The ‘Sultan’ star said that he would not post quotes, pictures or reels on Instagram as he didn’t wish to show his ‘privileged’ life on social media. He promised to stay in touch with fans through direct messages if a ‘need for a conversation arises’.
