The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad is currently in 1st place in the South Central Conference with a 3-0 record. The Panthers hope to stay in that position for the remainder of the season, but they know with challenges in January from Albia, Centerville and the rest of the conference it will be a tough road. The Knoxville Basketball Squads take their longest road trip of the season to Bloomfield and face Davis County in the South Central Conference tonight. The Panthers are coming off of two very different ways of beating Chariton on Friday as the girls, after jumping out to a lead as high as 16 points held on for a ten point win, while the boys blew away the Chargers by 54 points. Girls Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KRLS Sports the Davis County Gym has been a house or horrors for his team over the years and says hopefully they can check off one of the toughest places to play in the conference.
