BECKLEY, W.Va. (WVVA) Lawmakers in Raleigh County say a new veterans' nursing home is 'all but assured' for Beckley. Funding for the 120-bed facility was included in Gov. Jim Justice's 2021 budget, raising the chances that the project will be funded when the legislature passes the budget. Raleigh County lawmakers already have a stretch of land approved behind Jackie Withrow Hospital for the project.
