La Crosse, Wis. (WXOW) - A La Crosse woman wanted to show people that exercise can be fun. This month Debbie Dahl Schultz is celebrating 43 years teaching Jazzercise.
They included a wide area mower, two 72-inch mowers, a utility work machine with attachments and an electric turf utility vehicle. The latter two pieces of equipment are new purchases for the Credit Union Spark Centre, while the mowers are for use by the parks department. The tender for the two 72-inch mowers were awarded to Tractorland of Regina at a bid price of $41,254, with a trade-in. The wide area mower and the electric turf utility machine were both awarded to South Country Equipment, in the amounts of $79,075 and $16,855 respectively, and the utility work machine tender was awarded...
City engineer Jen Wilkinson said the unusually mild weather has caused freezing and thawing to occur, and has created ice ruts on a number of residential streets. “The city crews were removing the ice ridges which can create road degradation. It’s preventive maintenance to help us out later on,” she explained, pointing out this work is normally done in spring time, and helps to prevent potholes and other road problems from developing.
