Bessemer man shot, later dies at hospital

The Jefferson County Sheriff s Office is investigating a shooting in which a Bessemer man died.The JCSO reports deputies were called to the 700 block of Fields Lane about 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, and found a person struck by gunfire.The victim was taken to UAB Hospital, where that person later died.The Jefferson County Coroner Medical Examiner s Office released the identity of that person as Jeremy Fields, 42.The JCSO says the shooting appeared to be a result of a domestic disturbance and the investigation continues. ....
